2021 CCW Life is Rośe
100% Barbera
Lots of strawberry and bright red fruit notes mingle with watermelon and some light herbs. The flavors start off bright and fruity, I get more strawberry and some lemon-lime flavors. The finish is crisp and brisk. Great summer wine for those hot days.

Vineyard Notes
2021 was a very interesting growing season. The winter was normal and spring started off nice and smooth. Temperatures slowly warmed and the grapes went through set and bloom right on time. In late June we had a heatwave that impacted the rest of the vintage. We hit a high of 118 degrees, and had over 45 days of triple digit weather. The grapes stayed small, and while the crop load was light the flavors were intense. The first grapes were harvested in late August and finished up in the end of October.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes for our rose are machine harvested and delivered to the winery for pressing as quickly as possible. The color comes from the press cut because we don’t allow much time for soaking. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel to try and preserve fruit. After fermentation the wine is stirred and aged for a few months prior to filtration and bottling.
