This flavors start off bright and fruity showing classic Coyote Canyon characteristics. There are some tropical fruits mixed with softer peach, stone fruit flavors and aromas. The acid is popping and the finish is crisp and delicious.

2021 was a very interesting growing season. The winter was normal and spring started off nice and smooth. Temperatures slowly warmed and the grapes went through set and bloom right on time. In late June we had a heatwave that impacted the rest of the vintage. We hit a high of 118 degrees and had over 45 days of triple digit weather. The grapes stayed small and while the crop load was light the flavors were intense.
Albariño has always been one of my favorite wines to make from the Coyote Canyon Vineyard. Grown in one of the warmer sites of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, the flavors have a nice combination of tropical and citrus flavors.
This is a combination of our 2006 plantings, the first in WA state, and our 2011 block. The grapes were machined harvested in early September and fermented in a Stainless Steel tank. !0% of the blend was fermented in a concrete tank, adding a little minerality to the profile. I also blended a touch of Roussanne to round out the finish.
