Tasting Notes

Vineyard Notes
The start of 2020 was wet for Eastern WA standards. Winter had average snow fall and the spring had enough rain to get growth off to a good start. The summer was long and hot with near perfect growing conditions. We started harvest in early September and continued until late October. Our Sangiovese ripened perfectly.
Winemaker Notes
love Sangiovese and have enjoyed the process over the past few vintages.. We harvest from two different blocks, one planted in 2006 and the other in 2008. Both produce excellent fruit. I love getting to work with the different blocks, it helps build complexity into the wines. After aging in new and used French oak barrels for 20 months I blended in a little Cabernet Sauvignon to help the finish.
