Vineyard Notes
The start of 2020 was wet for Eastern WA standards. Winter had average snow fall and the spring had enough rain to get growth off to a good start. The summer was long and hot with near perfect growing conditions. We started harvest in early September and continued until late October. Our Albariño grapes were picked in early September and have plenty of tropical notes and citrus flavors.
Winemaker Notes
This is the first Downtown Roussanne we have made and it was an exciting process. It marked the first year we harvest Marsanne. With only a small amount of Marsanne available we picked both varietals at the same time and co-fermented them in the same tank. The resulting wine turned out amazing. It has delicate fruit flavors, some minerality and a great mouthfeel.
