Vineyard Notes
The start of 2020 was wet for Eastern WA standards. Winter had average snow fall and the spring had enough rain to get growth off to a good start. The summer was long and hot with near perfect growing conditions. We started harvest in early September and continued until late October. The vintage went very well and the wines are loaded with flavor.
Winemaker Notes
I’m super excited to introduce our new Coyote Red Wine Blend. This is kind of an evolution of our LOL and Downtown wine series. It is a series we want to produce that is easy to drink, fun for picknicks and gatherings. This first red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. These are two of my favorite varietals. We picked the grapes, fermented them, and aged them before blending and bottling. The barrels were aged a little longer than average adding extra tannin and oak notes.
