Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
A dark red oak aroma mixes with spicy fruits, black cherry, dried raspberries, and some sweet vanilla. The flavors are bold and spicy. The palate starts off with a mix of oak and fruit. The oak tannins combine with the fruit for a full rich flavor. A nice mid palate leads to a finish with silky smooth tannins. Big bright fruit has this drinking beautifully now, but it will continue to evolve and expand over the next several years.

Winemaker Notes
Primitivo continues to thrive in the vineyard. The clusters are continually some of the tastiest grapes in the vineyard. The large clusters are impressive, and the flavors spot on.
I feel like I am finally getting a better understanding of what I want to achieve with this block. It is always an early ripening varietal so trying to figure out the best picking time has taken a little getting used to. The brixs out pace the flavors so the grapes come in with a lot of sugar. It feels like the barrel program and fermentation techniques are starting to all come together.
This vintage should age well for 7-10 years.
