Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This has the classic black pepper on the finish and can even be picked up in the aromatics. A gamey mix of wild mushrooms, red fruit and oak. The flavors pop, a slight tangy note and zip from the acidity.

Winemaker Notes
Mourvèdre is a great varietal. James Mantone, from Syncline Cellars, told Mike this would be a great site for growing it and we can’t agree more. The wine thrives, it is planted at the highest point in our vineyard on a steep slope. The rocky soils make the vines stress and produce delicious wines.
The varietal works great in our Tres Cruces blend, it adds spice and richness. On its own you get more earth and herbal tones. The oak integrates nicely and even though the wine is a powerhouse it still has a delicate feel.
