Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Roussanne has an interesting aromatic profile with mild melon and honey smells that are not overwhelming but quite pleasing. Wet rock, slate and citrus notes can also be found on the nose. Light bodied with some nice structure the wine has flavors of mild citrus, honeysuckle and starfruit. This wine pairs nicely spicy dishes and hearty soups.

Winemaker Notes
Roussanne is typically used more as a blender varietal in wines but is definitely a varietal that can stand up on its own. This is a fairly large cluster white wine and typically has lots of minerality and slate characteristics. Fermented in stainless steel and left on its lees for 3 months to build more mouth feel this wine was blended with a little Viognier to help add complexity to the blend.
Food Pairing Notes
This wine pairs nicely spicy dishes and hearty soups.
