Tasting Notes
This is an exciting Spanish style blend combining the bright fruit and acidity of Tempranillo with the dense richness of Graciano. This wine is elegant, rich, smooth, and has depth and character. Some nice earth notes along with tobacco and chocolate are noticeable. The fruit flavors are dried fig and cherry notes with a slight leather component. The finish is rich and long, the acidity from the Tempranillo adds a nice edge while the Graciano portion adds weight to the wine. Pairs nicely with lamb chops

Winemaker Notes
This is a wine named after our owner, so it is always a wine I want to make special. 2013 was a nice hot year and the Graciano really stood out to me when I was evaluating the different wines. In the past Tempranillo was the base for this wine but in my opinion the Graciano seemed to add more seriousness and depth to the wine. Using the Graciano as a base I believe will make this wine more age worthy. This is certainly a wine that has the ability to age but to be honest I was quite impressed with how smooth and rich the wine is already drinking.
