Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The first thing you notice is the dark deep purple color. Malbec has its own unique color hue and the purple usually sticks out to me. The aromas are beautiful and intense. The oak component mixes with dark red fruit and has some nice spice characteristics as well. The flavors starts out big and bold and just keep going. The tannins are subtle and add complexity to the wine. This wine drinks great now but should hold up for another decade at least.

Winemaker Notes
Malbec has always been one of my favorite wines to make, the unique color and flavors always seem to stand out. The 2013 vintage was a warm year and I think that Malbec at our vineyard likes this type of growing season. The grapes fully ripened and developed loads of flavor and character. The wine deffinitly enjoyed its time in barrel and the oak tannins really helped round out the wine. A touch of Cabernet Sauvignon was added to help give the wine a little more length on the finish.
