Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Amazing aromas of dark berries, chocolate, oak, and tar are just waiting on you. The flavor profile mirrors the aromatic profile, at first a nice chocolate covered Bing cherry taste comes through with oak and dusty flavors to follow. The finish shows some sweet tannin notes and leather. True to the site and the Horse Heaven Hills the tannins have a unique dusty quality to them that adds complexity to the wine. This should age nicely for years to come.

Winemaker Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon from the Horse Heaven Hills is one of the most sought-after varietals from Washington State. We have been growing Cabernet Sauvignon since 1995 and our vines are starting to show extra complexity. 2013 was a hot vintage and this wine has amazing flavor. It is big and jammy with nice acid and tannins, it should age nicely for years. This was my first vintage making wines for Coyote Canyon and it is fun to start releasing these wines. I am looking forward to tasting this Cabernet over the next few years and seeing how it evolves and what I might do to make it even better in the future. Pair this with a nice steak or some Filet Mignon.
