2013 CCW Barbera
Horse Heaven Hills AVA
August 24th 2014
Ripe Marion berry, baked pie and a mild oak spice aromas. The wine has a full bodied entry with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, mild oak, chocolate and earthiness. A little spice at the finish adds depth and complexity to the wine. Great acidity adds to a nice finish making it seem a little lighter than the first taste.

This is the second vintage of Barbera wine made at Coyote Canyon Winery. We only made 56 cases of this wine so it is a very limited release. The wine shows nice fruit and complexity but has a lot of earth notes making it a little more old world in style. The wine was aged in mostly neutral French oak barrels for approximately 20 months. With a fruit forward style the wine is drinking excellent right now but should hold up for 5-7 years.
